Weekly Progress: ApkTalks #BuildInPublic

Hey friends 👋

This week was a calm one. Not super loud on the outside, but inside lots of gears turning. Small updates, important fixes, and those quiet wins that don’t look exciting on paper but keep the engine moving.

🚀 Hidden Hindu: Fixes, Charts, and Lessons

I pushed two new updates to the Hidden Hindu app this week—mostly polish and a few bug fixes. One bug was especially annoying: a RangeError that kept crashing the Naam Jap Stats screen. Turns out the bar chart was trying to access a day that didn’t exist in the data. Classic off-by-one. Fixed that, felt good.

Also started polishing the new bar chart layout for weekly, monthly, and yearly stats. It’s now showing labels like “23 Mon” (small detail, big visual clarity). I also added tap interaction to highlight bars and show count + malas.

🌟 Community Love & Growth Stats

This week, I took a moment to scroll through the recent app reviews and numbers — and honestly, it’s humbling.

Seeing kind words from users, organic downloads ticking up, and repeat usage — it reminds me why I’m building all this. It’s not massive growth, but it’s real. And real > viral.

Here’s a quick peek at how things are going:

🧱 New App Bits

The MAV app (Motivation – Affirmation – Vocab) is officially in motion. Just early JSON structure and design mapping for now, but the base is solid.

Also made progress on the “Simply Track Everything” idea — it’s shaping into something that could be useful for a lot of people. Still prototyping.

🌐 Site + Business Moves

Finally launched apktalks.in! 🥳
Feels great to have a home base for all my indie app work.
Also set up the official email: contact@apktalks.in

Took the leap and registered Apktalks as a company ✅
Just submitted a request for the D-U-N-S number so I can move ahead with the Apple Developer Organization account next 🍏

If you’re curious about the full process — from Udyam MSME registration to requesting a D-U-N-S via Apple — I wrote a complete guide here:

💸 Gumroad + Content

The Notion Wallpaper Pack is up on Gumroad. Simple product, but I wanted to put it out anyway:
🔗 Check it out

Also lining up a blog post on Productivity Hacks using AI Chatbots – based on the chaos I’m constantly trying to tame across ClickUp, TickTick, and sticky notes on my wall.

🧠 Indie Reflections

One thing I’m learning: you don’t always need speed, just direction.

This week wasn’t flashy. No big launches, no viral tweets. But the base got stronger. And that’s enough.

Till next time,
— Apktalks
